Rescuing a Fragile Kitten: A Story of Compassion and Hope
Yesterday morning, we were drawn by the desperate cries coming from the bushes near our office. Upon investigating, we discovered a frail kitten. Moved by her plight, we gently placed her in a box lined with a soft blanket and fed her goat milk formula, some cat food, and a cat treat. Though she managed to eat a bit and passed two small stools in the afternoon, she remained listless, lying quietly in her makeshift bed.
Concerned for her health, we took her to the vet today at noon. The examination was tough; due to her weakened state, it took several attempts to draw blood, and each cry of pain from her tore at our hearts. The vet determined she is a young female, severely malnourished and anemic. They prescribed supplements, nutritional paste, and kitten food, and performed a deworming treatment.
Upon returning to the office, we bought a small cage to keep her safe and comfortable. Despite our efforts, she lay there, exhausted and weak. We were deeply worried she might not survive. With great care, we used a spoon to feed her the nutritional paste and some more cat food, praying that she would show signs of improvement by morning.
The response from our colleagues has been overwhelming. Everyone pitched in, offering both financial support and hands-on help. The collective concern and heartfelt prayers for her recovery have been truly touching. Inspired by her resilient spirit and the mythical aura she exudes, we rallied around her.
Seeing this tiny kitten struggling yet trying to fight back is both heartbreaking and inspiring. Every small sign of improvement is celebrated, and each setback is met with renewed determination. We’ve set up a schedule to ensure she gets round-the-clock care, with everyone taking turns to check on her, feed her, and provide comfort.
